Today is not just an ordinary day because this is the day I finally get to enter the PUP College of Engineering and Architecture building as a 3rd year BS Architecture student. After getting delayed by two consecutive years, I am happy to, once again, be a regular student and I would love to keep it this way.

Technically, this is not the first day of the academic year since classes started on Monday. In my case, it is, because we don't have a class scheduled on Mondays for this semester. I did not attend class yesterday because our section is still in the process of getting petitioned and not one of our professors showed up to class. But I had a feeling that today would be different, so I decided to put an end to my vacation phase and travel back to Manila last night to get my things ready for today. Luckily, I was not wrong.

My day started early, as it is supposed to, because I have my Building Utilities 3 class scheduled at 7:30 in the morning, and I would not want to be late for my first day of attending classes. After about an hour of waiting, our professor, Archt. Eric Baño, showed up. He went on to give an introduction on our subject and what to expect about it. He told us that he treats any subject he handles as a Design class. He also called some of the students to ask about their expectations and suggestions for our class.

We held an election for a class president, so we would have a contact person for our class and be able to distribute our assignments properly. I, personally, don't know who to vote since I only recognize a few people in my class, mainly those who have been my classmates in the past semesters. There were only two nominated candidates, one of them being not readily available because she already has a role as a student council officer. Our professor even tried to nominate someone as a nuisance candidate and we had a laugh about it. In the end, Gerry May became our elected class president.

After the election, Archt. Baño gave us assignments to be submitted next meeting. When it is time for our dismissal, we were all left thinking about the tasks we were just been given. I am both anxious and excited for the next meetings to come.

NOT MY DAY

You are probably wondering why this blog is entitled that. Technically, it really is not my day as I was not born today. What I meant...
