NOT MY DAY

You are probably wondering why this blog is entitled that. Technically, it really is not my day as I was not born today. What I meant though is that today did not start well for me. I was not able to attend class and take the exam for I have arrived in Manila late. I have not calculated my travel time properly and commuted during a rush hour. I had to stand literally beside the bus driver just so I can make it on time, or so I thought. I asked for my scale model to be placed on top of the dashboard since I thought it would be safe there, but someone decided to use it as an elbow rest which resulted for its few parts to detach. I did not make a fuss about it and decided to let it go; besides, we were not really in a convenient situation. No, we were like sardines in a can inside the bus!
Upon arriving in Balintawak, I decided to catch a Grab ride to school. Taking the LRT was out of the question, seeing the long queue of people all the way down the side of the road, plus I was carrying a scale model, a tote bag, my laptop bag, and backpack. After some time, my Grab ride arrived. I was able to relax a little, thinking that I will be at school in no time. What I did not know was that I clicked on the GrabShare option and not the GrabCar or something where you'll have the car ride all to yourself. (I'm not that familiar with Grab's interface as I do not prefer using it and had just downloaded the app while on the bus.) I just realized that later on when the driver took a different way and told me we have to pick up two more passengers from different places. Now I have to carpool with two other people which would not have been an issue if I was not in a haste or if we happen to be picked up at the same place, which, alas, is not the case. So I prayed to God and hoped for the best.
Moving on, I heard from my classmates that the examination was not easy. In fact, only two in our class passed. I did not know what to feel about it. I wondered what I would have scored if I was able to take it. I even tried to review what I can while on the bus. Aside from the examination, it was the submission day of our scale model's video and A3 presentations. Thankfully, the submission is open while our professor is still on the premises. My efforts are not altogether wasted!
On a side note, compiling catalogs and brochures of products (related to Lighting and Acoustic) to be categorized based on CSI format was kind of challenging. Surfing the internet, most of the brands we found that has downloadable catalogs and/or brochures are based in other countries - a few are available in the Philippines while some are not. Fortunately, it was a group assignment and we were able to gather a sizable amount of catalogs and brochures, although most of them are for lighting fixtures.
Considering everything, I still would not deem this day my worst. Unpromising, maybe, but not the worst. I just want to take a rest at this moment and hope that tomorrow will bring about a better day.
